Gravimeric and volumetric feeders for an accurate control of the solid flow rate
GIMAT can supply both volumetric and gravimetric feeders depending on accuracy needed. Both feeders can work in a continuous or batch type.
In case of volumetric feeders the output is regulated through an inverter or a motor driver depending on the type of motor that is used to rotate the dosing spiral. With this economic solution there is no direct measurement of material throughput.
In the process in which direct and constant measurement of material throughput is need the gravimetric feeder is the solution.
The weighing controller in a closed loop way can control the feeding rate to maintain it constant even in case of product bulk density variation and reduce calibration time respect volumetric feeders.
